Wirksamkeit und Sicherheit akupunkturbezogener Therapien bei symptomatischer Endometriose: eine systematische Übersichtsarbeit und Netzwerk-Meta-Analyse Abstract Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of different acupuncture-related therapies combined with pharmacotherapies for treating symptomatic endometriosis. Methods A pre-defined search strategy was conducted across eight databases (Chinese Biomedical Literature Service System, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, China Science and Technology Journal Database, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science) from inception to May 1, 2023. The included studies were evaluated for methodological quality using the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool. The surface under the cumulative ranking (SUCRA) was...

Akupunktur zur Behandlung der überaktiven Blase: Eine Übersichtsarbeit und Meta-Analyse Abstract Introduction Overactive bladder (OAB) is a common lower urinary tract symptom of bladder storage dysfunction. Numerous studies have evaluated the efficacy and safety of acupuncture therapy for overactive bladder, but clinical programs and data were largely inconsistent. Therefore, it is necessary to summarize and analyze the published clinical research data in the field. We aimed to perform an umbrella review of systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SRs/MAs) to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture therapy. Methods We searched PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, and three China databases (CNKI, VIP,...

Auswirkungen der Akupunktur auf die Sterblichkeit bei Patienten mit Behinderungen und neu diagnostizierter Herzinsuffizienz: eine landesweite Kohortenstudie Abstract Objective People with disabilities have high rates of cardiovascular diseases and mortality, and heart failure can worsen their condition. Therefore, preventing and managing cardiovascular diseases is particularly important for this population. Although acupuncture has been used for heart failure, research on its impact on mortality is limited. Given the unique pathophysiological characteristics of people with disabilities, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of acupuncture on mortality in those newly diagnosed with heart failure. Methods This retrospective cohort study used data from...

Studie zur peripher-zentralen Korrelation von Akupunktur bei chronischem Tinnitus Studienprotokoll für eine randomisierte kontrollierte Studie Abstract Purpose (1) Exploring the evaluation and correlation of peripheral central auditory function in patients with chronic tinnitus. (2) Evaluation of the cumulative effect of acupuncture on peripheral central auditory function in patients with chronic tinnitus. Method Our research is structured as a regulated and randomized trial with assessor blinding. Seventy-two participants who qualify with chronic tinnitus will be allocated in a 1:1 ratio to either the acupuncture group or the sham acupuncture group. Additionally, we will recruit 15 healthy individuals as subjects for data...

Verbesserung der Ergebnisse bei Depressionen von Hämodialysepatienten durch Akupunktur: Eine randomisierte kontrollierte Studie Abstract Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture as a supplementary treatment for mild to moderate depression in hemodialysis patients. Method This multicenter, randomized, controlled, single-masked trial included 64 hemodialysis patients aged 18–75 divided into two groups. One group received genuine acupuncture, while the other received sham acupuncture over 12 weeks. The primary outcome measure was Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) scores; an inclusion criterion was HAMD scores of 10–23. Secondary outcomes included life quality improvements and changes in biochemical markers, such as serum albumin and hemoglobin...

Akupunktur bei neonatalem Abstinenzsyndrom bei Neugeborenen Abstract Background Neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) is a drug‐withdrawal syndrome, mostly occurring after antenatal exposure to opioids. A neonate may be born physically dependent on opioid medications, which causes withdrawal symptoms (such as high‐pitched crying, disruptions in the sleep‐wake cycle and tremors) after birth. This is diagnosed with a standardised withdrawal assessment, such as the Finnegan score. Newborns developing NAS require medical treatment and longer hospital stays after birth than neonates without this condition. Treatments for NAS include multiple multimodal treatments to ease symptoms of withdrawal, such as swaddling, ‚rooming in‘ and breastfeeding. If...

Erfahrungen der Teilnehmer bei der Akupunkturbehandlung von akuten Schmerzen des Bewegungsapparats in einer Notaufnahme: Eine qualitative Auswertung Abstract Objective Acupuncture is an evidence-based pain treatment in clinic settings, but its optimal delivery has not been established in emergency departments (EDs). As part of an adaptive pragmatic randomized controlled trial of ED acupuncture for acute musculoskeletal pain (NCT04290741), we embedded a qualitative evaluation of acupuncture treatment acceptability and suggestions for improvement from study participants receiving acupuncture in the ED. Methods Semi-structured interviews conducted remotely evaluated factors impacting patients’ perspectives, willingness to participate in, and experiences with ED acupuncture. The codebook was...

Wirkung der Akupunktur bei Patienten mit chronisch obstruktiver Lungenerkrankung: Eine multizentrische, randomisierte, kontrollierte Studie Abstract Background Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common and frequently occurring disease that seriously endangers health, causing a heavy economic burden on patients and society. Acupuncture has been reported to have a therapeutic effect on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, compared with medications, it is difficult to identify a superior therapy. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture, conventional drug and acupuncture plus conventional drug in the treatment of COPD. Methods This was...

Die Wirkung der Akupunktur auf die Lebensqualität von Patienten mit Reizdarmsyndrom: Eine systematische Überprüfung und Meta-Analyse Abstract Background Acupuncture has been used to improve the quality of life (QoL) of patients in clinical settings. However, the effect of acupuncture on QoL in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) remains unclear. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to evaluate the effect of acupuncture on the QoL of patients with IBS. Method PubMed, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, and Web of Science were screened from inception to September 2023. RCTs published in English comparing...

Auswirkungen einer Modifizierung der Beschaffenheit der Akupunkturnadel auf die Akupunkturanalgesie Abstract Objective The analgesic effect of acupuncture has been widely accepted. Nevertheless, the mechanism behind its analgesic effect remains elusive, thus impeding the progress of research geared toward enhancing the analgesic effect of acupuncture. This paper investigated the role of acupuncture needle surface textures on acupuncture’s analgesic effect by creating four experimental acupuncture needles with different patterns of surface augmentation. Methods Four types of acupuncture needles with different surface textures (the lined needle, circle needle, sandpaper needle, and threaded needle) were designed. Additionally, the force/torque measurement system used a robot...
